What is a Flexo printed bag?

Printing ink is transferred via a roller on to a rubber stereo which then directly impresses the image onto the bag. (It’s basically like rolling a giant stamp onto the bags) so images can’t be too complicated.

Applications: Any branding, information and instructions you require on your bags

Sizes: 5kg - 80kg (Dependent on bulk density of your product)

On smaller runs we print on a flatbed printer (hand feed), where bags are individually fed into the printer. On this machine, it is not advisable to have large ink spreads (too much ink on the bag) and we prefer to avoid tight registrations (aligning different colours next to each other perfectly). Easy to read fonts and outlined images are preferred.

2 x colour – 2000+ bags

3 x colour – 5000+ bags

We can print large ink spreads and artwork with more complicated alignment on a reel flexo printer which prints the images onto woven poly rolls which are later cut to size and sewn.

Stereo Cost: R1.30 excluding VAT/cm2 – once off cost. Each colour requires its own stereo.
